Project abstract: The project proposal is to drill a new well and install a solar pump system and approximately 1/4 mile of pipe and one trough and small pond on Trust Lands. The pipeline will continue across BLM lands two miles to additional troughs providing stock water across a large area within the Spanish George Allotment. The BLM analysis and approval is complete.
Local government's response? A copy of this entry was sent with the notification, therefore no response has been received yet.
How is the local government(s) likely to be impacted? The local government may be positively impacted with improved distribution causing improved range conditions, causing improved returns to the producer and local economy.
Possible significant impacts likely to occur: The proposed well and pipeline will improve grazing management, management options, livestock distribution possibly leading to improved range conditions and economic returns. These impacts could improve watershed health. A negative impact could occur to the underground aquifer but not likely due to the use of exiting water rights being transferred to the well for use.
