Project abstract: In 2015 an 8774 acre parcel near Grantsville Utah, south of I-80, was designated for development to accommodate the commercial/industrial development including the possible establishment of a wetland bank. Some smaller parcel, located north of I-80 are mow added to the designated property for possible inclusion in the wetland bank.

This property is suitable for designation as a development property pursuant to R850-140 for the following reasons:

This property is located in Tooele County, immediately south of I-80 and including portions within Grantsville city limits, and is suited for industrial and/or commercial real estate development, including a potential wetlands mitigation facility. The added acres may be included in the proposed wetlands bank.

Preliminary analysis by the agency has determined that development is appropriate and constitutes the probable highest and best use of this property.
How is the local government(s) likely to be impacted? Wetlands and associated habitats will be preserved for the long term
